Jakarta, 21 January 2026 – In celebration of Chinese New Year 2026, Grand Indonesia presents “From Ancestry to Artistry,” running until 22 February 2026. Inspired by the beauty of Peranakan culture, the celebration weaves together rich cultural heritage with refined modern artistry.
The Main Atrium and East Mall level 5 are transformed into vibrant spaces that highlight Peranakan cultural expression. Featuring classic oriental elements combined with an elegant color palette, the décor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the spirit of togetherness during the festive season.
The Main Atrium comes alive with a variety of performances and activities held every weekend. The Barongsai Parade will be held on 31 January and 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, and 17 February 2026 at 2 PM and 5 PM (WIB). Customers can also take part in Peranakan Portraits, an interactive experience where they can dress in traditional Peranakan attire and accessories for a photo session, available on 31 January and 1, 7, 8, 14, and 15 February 2026 at 2 PM (WIB).
A variety of curated experiences further complement the celebration. Color Analysis sessions will be held at East Mall level 5 at 18.00 WIB, while Tarot Reading sessions will take place at the Main Atrium at 4 PM (WIB) every Friday, from 30 January to 13 February 2026. For those who enjoy hands-on activities, creative workshops such as Folding Fan Painting are available every Saturday until 14 February 2026, and Lantern Painting every Sunday until 15 February 2026, both at 3 PM (WIB) at the Main Atrium.
Customers can also complete their Chinese New Year preparations by discovering a curated selection of Chinese New Year hampers, traditional treats, souvenirs, and decorations at The Lunar Market, located at East Mall and West Mall LG.
To enhance the festive shopping experience, Grand Indonesia introduces a range of special shopping programs. Through the Fortune Fan program, running from 13 to 22 February 2026, G CARD Members who spend a minimum of Rp 3,000,000 in a single receipt can participate in the Fortune Fan game for a chance to win exciting prizes, including Skywards Miles, jewelry from Tulola, as well as dining and shopping vouchers. To participate in this program, simply exchange shopping receipts at the program booth located at East Mall level 5.
Exclusively for G CARD Gold Members, a Special Privilege is also available, featuring a money envelope package with a minimum spend of Rp 500,000 in a single receipt during the same period.
