Grand Indonesia in collaboration with Purana for “PURANA 17: Renjana Perca”

Publish Date: 24 August 2026

Jakarta, 24 August 2026 – To commemorate the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and celebrate PURANA’s 17-year journey, Grand Indonesia has collaborated with PURANA to present “PURANA 17: Renjana Perca” from 14 – 23 August 2026 at the Main Atrium, East Mall, Level 1. Embracing the spirit of "Independence in Creativity," the collaboration unites a sense of pride in Indonesian craftsmanship with the urgent need to build a more circular future for the creative industry. Over the past 17 years, PURANA Founder & CCO Nonita Respati has built a creative ecosystem through collaborations with artists across Indonesia, bringing the country’s culture, nature, and stories to life through PURANA’s signature motifs. For this celebration, 12 of these collaborating artists, from young talents to maestro Sutjipto Adi, reunited to celebrate the journey and the spirit of collaboration.

As part of the collaboration between Grand Indonesia and PURANA, “Renjana Perca” connects the public with innovation, design, and circular economy practices. A key highlight is the "Waste-to-Weave" demonstration by Nonita Respati, showcasing how plastic bottle waste can be transformed into fibers and ultimately, high-value textile yarn. Sustainability principles also extend to the event space itself, which features architecture made from 100% recycled cardboard created by DusDukDuk and spatial artist Arief Susanto, designed to generate near-zero waste.

The program lineup also includes the PURANA Spring/Summer 2027 Fashion Show, the PURANA x FUGUKU Bags Collection, the PURAGRAPH Vol. 2 x PURACA Bags Collection by Kika, and the debut of PURANA KIDS. Furthermore, PURANA showcased its "Regal Bloom" Spring/Summer 2027 collection, which blends classic European decorative traditions with Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage through motifs such as Tartan Parang, Puspa Paisley, Bakung Melati, and Merpati Pelangi. The collection embodies a woman who is mature, elegant, and audacious, while championing a "mindful fashion" approach using 100% Bemberg (from Asahi Kasei) and TENCEL (from Lenzing), premium botanical fibers that are comfortable, breathable, and environmentally responsible.

Through "PURANA 17: Renjana Perca," Grand Indonesia and PURANA present a collaboration that not only celebrates a 17-year creative journey but also affirms that cultural preservation, creative freedom, material innovation, and sustainability can all form part of a unified vision for the future of Indonesia’s creative industry.
